First Friday of Lent..

Normally for our family this means we get to have fish food every Friday for 40 days! Which I have to admit was pretty sweet. Caswells has the best onion rings and fish and chips in town. Along with clam chowder and french fries that was our typical order.

Today I have to emm.. modify this a bit. Also that's how the Irish insert pauses into their sentences -- emm. We say 'umm,' the French say 'euh,' and the Irish say 'emm.' Anyway I'm just eating pasta or cereal I haven't really decided even though it's 'half eight' meaning 8:30.

I love cereal. I'm not sure where I picked this up but somewhere along the past three years in college, it has become the staple of my diet. At home I love honey nut cheerios, chex and honey bunches of oats. Here I've become particularly fond of Kellog's Crunchy Nut Flakes (imagine corn flakes coated with honey nut and with bits of almonds) and it's SO good. I try not to eat pasta too often because I get sick of it pretty easily. Unlike most of my roommates who seriously eat it 3-4 times a week! One kid in my program bought a 3 kilo bag of pasta! One kilo = 2.2 pounds.

I'm making dinner at Evan's tonight because my whole dorm got sprayed for bugs this afternoon. Gross. I guess it's done every semester as a preventative measure but I really can't imagine it's healthy to breath that stuff in so I'm waiting as long as possible to go home tonight.

In the typical fashion of Lent Evan is eating fish sticks! Here is a commercial about fish sticks that my mom and I both find hilarious.
