Photographing Fireworks

A few words on photographing fireworks...

1/20th, f/2, ISO 2500

In order to capture fireworks like you see them, you really need to find the correct shutter speed.

Too slow and you'll get blur and smoke, but too fast and you'll only get tiny dots in the sky.

My shutter speed was 1/20 for these pictures.

I was holding the camera so I couldn't keep the shutter open as long as I'd like without getting picture-ruining blur.

For bigger more exaggerated fireworks, bring a tripod!
