Gluten-Free Biscults

There are a lot of things that you lose when you become gluten-free; Milky Ways, Rice Krispies, and those pop tins of biscuits. Those little tubes are so multi-purpose too. Want to make monkey bread? Get a tube of biscuits. How about a taco ring? Biscuits work great! A delicious alternative for a breakfast sandwich? Biscuits. Suffice it to say I miss eating those fluffy, buttery biscuits.

I was watching the food network and they made a homemade batch of biscuits. It looked relatively easy so I decided to give it ago with my favorite Jules Gluten-Free flour mix. I consulted my handy America's Test Kitchen cookbook for a recipe.

With only a few ingredients, and the help of a food processor, they came together relatively quickly.

To create a for-sure gluten-free surface I cover the counter with cling wrap.

I needed a little more liquid than the recipe calls for due to the gluten-free flour.

I made some rather large biscuits but they came out really well! I made delicious breakfast sandwiches from them and used them to go with my chili later that night.
