Buy Organic

Have you ever wondered what all the fuss around organic food is? Well here is why I try to buy organic.

Don't want to buy all organic? Try and at least to always buy some specific foods from the organic section, these are nicknamed the "Dirty Dozen." These foods absorb more pesticides and chemicals than some others called the "Clean 15." Those foods are not as bad when they are not organic. To view all of the Dirty Dozen and Clean 15 click here.

Popovers *Gluten-Free*

Popovers: A Photo Essay

6 tbsp butter
6 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients, except butter, together well. Put 1/2 tablespoon of butter into each muffin tin and put into the oven until it melts. Pour melted butter into batter and mix well. This greases the pan and adds a great buttery flavor. Fill tins about 2/3 of the way. Bake for 20 minutes. Take out of tin immediately to cool. Serve with butter, jam, and confectionary sugar!

Year in Review: 2013

2013 was an interesting year - personally and professionally. One year out of my undergraduate experience at Boston University, I started one job that turned into another job. I began, and made it half way through, a master's program also at Boston University.

I traveled quite a bit, collecting a considerable number of frequently flyer miles at JetBlue. We adopted a puppy from a fabulous rescue (Paws n'Time in Lancaster, PA) named Tori who is a joy and loves her 'fur brother' Will.

The beginning of 2013 was a bit slow here on this blog, and working on my master's was incredibly time-consuming. It's gotten a little more lively here and I really hope to keep it up for 2014. As always, thanks so much to my readers who visit my little space here!
